Cuando ABBA fue a Australia en 1976 para promocionarse grabaron un especal de television llamado "Bandstand special" para la Nine Network. Durante la grabación de ese especial fueron entrevistados por Daryl Sommers:

DS: (continuando)..."Bienvenidos a Australia" pero nosotros se los decimos sinceramente. Y tambien, er, Felicitaciones en su record de ventas en todo el mundo.
AF: Gracias
DS: (continuando) .... Ha sido realmente maravilloso para ustedes. Cada, cada cancion que han escrito, bueno no todas, pero...
Agnetha: En serio?!
DS: Han tenido tantos hits y les esta yendo tan bien - aun en Inglaterra ahora
Frida: Si
DS: el cual como estabamos diciendo antes, es un lugar muy dificil de triunfar
BU: Si, lo es
DS: Pero estab alli y aca para quedarse espero. No podemos evitar ver su ropa porque me siento muy mal vestido! las hacen ustedes mismos?
BA: (apenas se escucha) Te ves terrible!
DS: Me veo terrible, gracias Benny! Bien! Bjorn, hacen la ropa ustedes mismos?
BU: Bueno, vos te la haces?
AF: No lo hace.
DS: No ... mamá las hace en realidad!
AF: (no se escucha lo que dice)
BU: Nosotros, si, nosotros tenemos las ideas y tenemos dos personas que cosen para nosotros en Estocolmo.
DS: Oh! Todo el tiempo? Ustedes de repente...llaman alla y dicen "queremos trajes rosas o...?!"
AF: (tratando de ser oida) ... no...
BU: No, no nosotros nos juntamos con ellos y lo discutimos y podemos hablar horas sobre eso!
DS: Bueno nosotros podriamos hablar horas...no tenemos mucho tiempo pero me gustaria sobre el sonido único que aparentan tener. A que lo atribuyen eso? Porque es una especie de sonido muy...
BU: Yo creo que es, principalmente es por las dos chicas
DS: Con las voces?
BU: Si,con las voces
AF: Gracias, amor!
BU: OK!

BA: Nah, Yo creo que tambien es... bueno quele dedicamos mucho tiempo, un monton de esfuerzo para hacer que suene cada vez mejor
DS: Creo que estabas diciendo Benny que tienen su propio estudio?
BA: Oh no, no lo tenemos. Nosotros rentamos un estudio en Estocolmo. Tenemos un estudio favorito
DS: Bueno muy pocos grupos pueden rentar un estudio para empezar asi que eso es bueno. Pero tienen, no es cierto? cinco teclados o algo asi que usan ustedes en las grabaciones?
BA: Bueno yo toco todos los teclados, eh necesitamos si...si, hacemos un tour aca en Australia probablemente en Noviembre y eh, vamos a traer cuatro o cinco tecladistas
DS: cuatro o cinco tecladistas?
BA: Si, bueno necesitamos eso porque...porque es parte de las cosas...vos sabes, piano, audiencia, y....
DS: Y eso es un tour de conciertos no Frida, en, en...?
FL: Si lo es, en Noviembre esperemos
DS: Oh eso esta muy bien, y espero que hayan disfrutado su corta estancia. han sido solo 10 dias esta vez pero estaremos viendo mucho mas de - de todos ustedes porque la semana que viene es el especial show especial de Bandstand que presenta muchos de sus hits. Entonces eso sera algo que aguardar y se llama "Lo mejor de ABBA" y esto es el sabado que viene. Y ahora han lanzado un nuevo single. Ahora nos podrían decir el nombre...
BU: Si, es...
DS: Y ahora lo pondremos. Ya te olvidaste?! Fernando!

Daryl Somers: And here we are with ABBA! First of all, let me, on behalf of everyone here welcome you to Australia.
BU: Thank you.
DS: I, I guess that has been the case ... everyone has said
FL: (in background) Thank you very much
DS: (continuing) ..."Welcome to Australia" but we sincerely mean that here. And also, er, congratulations on your record success all over the world.
AF: Thank you
DS: (continuing) .... It's been really marvellous for you. Every, every number you've written, well not every one, but ....
Agnetha: Really?!
DS: You've had so many hits and it's all going well for you - even in England now
Frida: Yes
DS: which as we were talking about before, is a very hard one to crack
BU: It is, yes.
DS: But you're in there and and here to stay I hope. We can't help noticing the clothes because I feel so under-dressed! Do you make them yourselves?
BA: (barely audible) You look terrible!
DS: I look terrible, thank you Benny! Right! Björn, do you make the clothes yourself?
BU: Well, do you?
AF: He doesn't
DS: No ... Mum runs them up actually!
AF: (inaudible says something)
BU: We, yeah, we have the ideas ourselves and we have two guys sewing for us in Stockholm.
DS: Oh! all the time? You sort of ... do you phone back and say "we want some pink suits or ...?!"
AF: (trying to be heard) ... no...
BU: No, no we get together with them and we talk about it and we can talk for hours about that!
DS: Well we could talk for hours here .. we haven't got a lot of time but would like to ask you about the unique sound that you seem to have. what would you put that down to? Because it's a very sort of sound ...
BU: I think it's, most of it is because of the two girls
DS: with the vocals?
BU: yeah, the vocals
AF: Thank you, love!
BU: OK!
DS: Kiss on the cheek, kiss on the cheek!
BU: OK! (he lets Agnetha kiss him on the cheek)
BA: Nah, I think it's also ... well we put a lot of time into it, a lot of efforts to make it be always better and better
DS: You have your own studio I think you were saying Benny?
BA: Oh no we don't. We rent a studio in Stockholm. We have a favourite studio
DS: Well very few groups can rent a studio for a start so that's pretty good. But you have, is it? five keyboards or something you use yourself on the records?
BA: Well I play all the keyboards, er we need if ... we, we're coming on tour here to Australia probably in November and er, we're gonna bring four or five keyboard players
DS: Four or five keyboard players?
BA: Yeah, well we need that because that's ... that's a part of the things ... you know, piano, audience, and ...
DS: And that's a concert tour is it Frida, in, in .... ?
FL: Yes it is, in November hopefully
DS: Oh that's good, And I hope you've enjoyed your short stay. It's only 10 days this time but we'll be seeing a lot more of - of all of you because next week it's the special Bandstand show which features a lot of your hits. So that'll be something to look forward to and it's called "The Best Of ABBA" so that's next Saturday. And right now you've just released a new single. Now would you like to all introduce the name of it
BU: Yeah, it's ...
